I’ve s’prised The Initials with a super special New Year’s Eve plan! We had been planning to spend the night at home in front of the fire but now we will be getting up early tomorrow morning and going on an adventure!

Saying goodbye to our foster dogs only gets more difficult.
I know they are going to a wonderful new home but I really wish they could just stay with us forever. We will be the couple with 47 pups.

With all the Christmas festivities it slipped my mind to blog about my exciting news! My Lizzy got engaged a few months back and last week she asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding! I burst into tears and woke The Initials up to tell him! I cannot wait to stand next to her as she marries her new best friend!

Because last night we had a dinner party that involved far too much wine and far too little pasta I decided on a hamburger and french fries (with relish) for lunch with a side of bacon for the babies.

If I had my way Montauk would have a fur sister and brother as of this morning (we are SO in love with our foster pups!) but we had a long talk last night and realized that 3 dogs under 6 months is just not the right thing for us right now. So we will continue fostering until we decide it’s time for 2 (or 7)

Home at last.
After an amazing Christmas we are finally home, the pups are asleep in their beds and we are settling in for a long far too short winters nap.

Where did you go to college?
A small school in Westchester, NY called Manhattanville College. I ended up there sort of by accident but ended up really enjoying my 4 years there. I also did a journalism semester at American University rather than going abroad.

When do you plan on moving back to NYC?
The short answer is SOON! We were originally only supposed to move to the beach for the summer but because of The Initials job and my lack of a job it made more sense for us to stay out here a bit longer. We will be back in the city one of these days, on the upper west side so plan to visit!

Hmmmm….I don’t know the answer to that - we’ve talked about it and have an inkling of what year it may be but right now I am quite happy just being a girlfriend - no real rush to be a wife just yet. Plus I don’t really like wearing rings so I am waiting until Engagement Watches become acceptable.
