30 puppies are on their way here from South Carolina right now! They escaped the freezing temperatures and are coming here to live with their new fosters and furever homes!
We are picking up a whole mess of them tonight to snuggle with all night long!
Saturday:
One of our biggest games of the season, at 11am, in 24 degree weather. Awesome.

It is nice to take a moment and just be proud to be an American.
Resolutions.
One of my resolutions this year was to stand up for myself more, to not just agree with the majority and to make my voice heard.
I have seen tiny changes in myself in the last few weeks as I have begin to implement these resolutions.
I have seen bigger changes in my relationships, with The Initials and with friends - I feel more confident and more myself.
It’s exciting.
We can hear the ocean from our house (it’s a few blocks away) so we are being all storm-chaser-ish and are heading down to take photos!

A story.
On Sunday Last Chance Animal Rescue Fund held an adoption day at our local Petco. There were small dogs and large dogs and cuddly dogs and not so cuddly dogs.
One such not so cuddly dog was Simon, a gorgeous 7-month-old Boxer mix who has obviously never been shown a bit of love.
He barks, he growls, he gets upset at all the other dogs (never people, he loves people) and was difficult to have at...
I was brave tonight.
I auditioned for a local theater production. I haven’t acted on a stage since my freshman year of college, and the last time I acted on this particular stage I was 16, playing a 12 year old. Tonight I auditioned to play a prostitute!
Regardless of what happens I am proud of myself tonight, and that feels really good.

I went to bed with 3 puppies sleeping in my room.
Tonight I have 1.
This week I slept with puppies in my arms, I drove with crates full of puppies in the back of the car, I read books with puppies sleeping at my feet.

Back aches.
I have thrown out my back twice in my life.
The first time, I was hosting a dinner party for my girls and pulled it while taking the chicken out of the oven. We didn’t have any ice, but the rum was in the freezer. So I used the rum bottle as an ice pack.

I have tasty cheese & crackers, smoked meat with herbs and pretty napkins.
I am making lasagna with bechamel sauce (in my brand new Pyrex)
And I have lots of cookies for dessert.

Our guests are bringing wine.

We are back from the city, we have a porterhouse in the fridge (and The Initials is cooking!), the pups all had a big day, and are therefore quite sleepy, a delicious bottle of red wine is waiting to be corked, Julie & Julia is in the DVD player and the fire is roaring.
Tonight’s going to be a good, good night.

One of the many positives of Tumblarity being gone is the fact that I can disappear from my computer all day and not be nervous that my numbers are going to drop.
I did nothing interesting today, and Tumblr can’t judge me!
